Last week, Chargé Zadrozny hosted a reception to welcome home more than 28 U.S. Exchange Alumni who recently completed prestigious programs in the United States, including the Mandela Washington Fellowship, IVLP, SUSI, and PAYLP. The evening also welcomed participants of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) and representatives from the State Department Exchange Alumni Local (SEAL) network, underscoring the breadth of U.S. engagement with Liberia’s emerging leaders.

The celebration honored their accomplishments and highlighted how U.S. exchanges demonstrate America’s commitment to building strong people-to-people ties, supporting innovation, and expanding opportunity. These programs also help leverage engagement between groups—facilitating collaboration among leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers that supports progress from aid to trade and opens new avenues for trade and investment. Alumni are already applying the skills and connections gained through their U.S. experience to strengthen communities, spur economic growth, and contribute to Liberia’s development.

Chargé Zadrozny emphasized that alumni embody the spirit of partnership that underpins U.S.–Liberia relations and reflect the enduring impact of U.S. exchanges in advancing priorities that showcase America’s leadership and values.
