Nearly a year and a half after putting up his Bombardier Global Express XRS for sale, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, is now parting ways with another of his private jets—this time, a more advanced 2020 Bombardier Global 7500. Known for its long range and luxurious design, the aircraft is currently available for purchase in Oklahoma City. It’s a top-tier offering for anyone in the market for a high-end, pre-owned executive jet. 

Dangote’s high-end global 7500 jet

This particular Global 7500 has logged 1,527 flight hours and 487 landings. It’s been in pristine hands—Dangote has been the sole owner since purchase, and the jet has always been stored in a hangar. Designed to carry 18 passengers, the cabin is fitted with modern comforts and cutting-edge features, including SmartLink Plus entertainment to keep passengers connected in-flight. The cockpit is advanced, equipped with navigation tools like the Worldwide Datalink Graphical Weather System and Airport Moving Map, helping ensure smoother, safer travel.

On the outside, the jet makes a strong impression with its clean white finish, accented by deep blue and Peking red stripes. The paintwork is original from 2020. Inside, the cabin is built for comfort on long-haul trips. It features a four-seat club area with fold-out tables, a six-seat dining zone, and a private VIP sleeping area. Practical luxury touches abound, such as heated floors in both the entryway and rear lavatory, as well as a built-in bidet. The galley is fully stocked for gourmet service, with appliances including a steam oven, microwave, and warming drawer.

Dangote refines luxury jet collection

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest person with a net worth of $23.2 billion, according to Forbes, seems to be refining his collection of luxury assets.

His recent decision to part ways with his 2020 Bombardier Global 7500 jet follows his 2023 move to sell his Bombardier Global Express XRS. He originally acquired the Global Express XRS in 2010 for $45.5 million to celebrate his 53rd birthday. That aircraft was later repainted in 2014 in Matterhorn white with the same deep blue and red accents.

Dangote isn’t alone among Nigeria’s billionaire elite in owning high-end jets. Folorunsho Alakija, Nigeria’s richest woman and vice chairman of Famfa Oil, also owns a Bombardier Global Express XRS. So does Mike Adenuga, the telecom and energy magnate, who holds both a Bombardier Global Express XRS and a Challenger 604.
