Acer Keeps The Party Going, Brings Back Free Steam Vouchers To Nitro And Predator Buyers

There’s nothing worse than picking up the latest gaming tech, only to later find out you have hardly anything to play. Believe us, we’d know. Yes, your Steam library may be groaning under the weight of unplayed titles, but you’ll get to those eventually. If your next big gaming purchase involves the Acer Nitro V 15 or Predator Helios Neo 16, you may be entitled to a free Steam voucher, courtesy of Acer.

There’s nothing better than something free, even if it is accompanying a purchase you’d rather not tell your spouse about right away. Acer’s Steam promotion initially came to an end in March 2025, but it’s already been revived just a few months later. With a few more caveats thrown in.

There’s always a bigger catch

We should clear a couple of things up first. Forget everything you thought you knew about Acer’s previous Steam promotion, and listen up carefully. While the recycled Ts and Cs indicate that any purchases of the two laptops we mentioned from Takealot, Incredible, Acer, or Computer Mania would suffice to earn a voucher, Acer makes it abundantly clear that you’ll need to get your shopping done at Computer Mania this time around.

That’s if you’re hoping to snag a free Steam voucher, of course. Pick up your Predator or Nitro laptop from the retailer before 31 July 2025, visit Acer’s website here, register your device, and voila — you’ve got a Steam voucher. Also included in the promotion is the Predator Bifrost Intel Arc A750 OC GPU, which earns buyers a free R500 voucher with every purchase. Nitro purchases, too, unlock a R500 Steam voucher, though Predator buyers will receive a R1,000 voucher instead.

We should note that you’ll have two weeks after the promotion ends to register your devices, or risk missing out on the free voucher entirely. It’s a lengthy registration process that involves cutting out the laptop or GPU’s serial number from the cardboard box it came in. You’ll also want to peruse those Ts and Cs to ensure you’re picking up a device with the specified serial number for the promotion.
