Kimvuidi made the switch in August 2025 on a season-long deal that included an option to buy, with the Israeli outfit understood to be seriously considering activating that clause.
Sources close to the situation have indicated that Ashdod are keen to take up their option on the 24-year-old, though a final decision is still pending as the campaign draws to a close.
Since arriving in Israel, Kimvuidi has enjoyed a productive spell, making 18 appearances while contributing four goals and two assists.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with the attacking midfielder emerging as one of the more influential players in the squad.
However, his club’s league situation could yet play a role in the final outcome. Ashdod have endured a difficult campaign and find themselves just one place above the relegation zone.
The original agreement between the two clubs included an option for a three-year permanent deal, giving Ashdod the opportunity to secure Kimvuidi’s services beyond the current season.
At the time of his move, both clubs confirmed the structure of the deal, highlighting the potential for a longer stay should the Israeli side be satisfied with his contribution.

Kimvuidi joined Pirates from Maritzburg United (now Durban City) in 2023.
With his loan deal entering its final stages, the coming weeks are expected to be decisive in determining whether the midfielder continues his journey abroad or returns to Orlando ahead of the new season.
