WANA (Apr 27) – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in various parts of Mali, which resulted in the deaths of a number of officials and civilians.

 

Referring to the killing of Mali’s Minister of Defense, Sadio Camara, along with members of his family and several citizens—including worshippers at a mosque in the city of Kati near Bamako—Esmaeil Baghaei described these acts as heinous crimes and clear examples of terrorism.

 

He expressed sympathy with the government and people of Mali, extended his condolences to the families of the victims, and wished a full and speedy recovery for those injured.

 

Emphasizing Iran’s principled stance in firmly condemning all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, Baghaei described combating this phenomenon as a shared international responsibility. He stressed that an effective fight against terrorism requires cooperation, coordination, and the serious commitment of all countries to confront its perpetrators, organizers, supporters, and financiers.

 

In conclusion, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed confidence that the people of Mali, relying on national unity and solidarity, will overcome terrorism and its backers.
