Kruger United Coach Abram Mongoya told Soccer Laduma that they need to be humble when approaching this game and not forget that they rose from position 13 to climb to the summit, and any team can do the same.

“You’ve got Cape Town City at home. But most definitely at home, we’ll put in a very good shift because six in a row, the boys have just given six in a row at home. Six wins in a row, it’s very difficult to do that. And I admire them for that.  The second one is that you also have to go to Limpopo and go and play Baroka FC, a relegation candidate, another tough candidate. You come back home, Black Leopards, another relegation candidate.

“They’ve just started picking up points. And then you still have to go to Limpopo again and play Gomora FC, another relegation candidate. And then we have to close it off with the Mpumalanga derby at home against The Bees. Those are very tough fixtures. It’s not an easy 15 points to play for,” the coach observed.

Meanwhile, the coach added that they always remind themselves of the goal that they want to achieve this season.

“One, we remind ourselves of the goal that we want to achieve. Two, the reminder of how we climbed the log from number 13 to number one. It’s possible. Anybody can do it because it took us five games to move from number 13 to number five on the log.  Five wins in a row.

“So we were left with five games. So anybody from number six, if they win five games in a row, they can still be where we are.  We just need to be humble, and we just need to continue working hard. And we haven’t changed anything but we work harder than before now,” Mongoya concluded.

Kruger currently leads City with five points as they have 49 points from 25 games, while City has 44 points from the same number of games. The game on Wednesday is a do-or-die for both teams, and it will Kick off at 15h00.
