Spain returns over 5,300 migrants to Morocco

Madrid – Saba:
Spain said Sunday that 5,321 migrants had voluntarily returned to Morocco since August 10 after remaining in Ceuta following the July influx.

The government said 90 migrants withdrew their international protection applications, while around 1,000 others are being registered for return procedures.

Spain has also added 864 places at temporary migrant reception centers, bringing total capacity to about 4,300.
