They were reacting to the controversy over the media’s reporting details from an investigation submitted to Parliament by the Integrity Commission.

The Integrity Commission has warned members of the public and media houses that reporting from un-tabled reports is a breach of the Integrity Commission Act.
The Seymour Panton chaired Commission says Section 53 of its enabling legislation strictly prohibits public discussion of un-tabled reports.
Nationwide News reported on aspects of one of the Commission’s recent reports, which is awaiting tabling in the Parliament.
Editor in chief of the Western Mirror, Lloyd B. Smith, says leaks to the media are an inevitable feature of a functioning democracy.
Political commentator Dr. Nadeen Spence agrees.
She says in this instance regarding the most recent report from the Integrity Commission, the media’s reporting has advanced the issue.
