Leopards keep Badji for another season

Shenzhen Leopards (CBA) re-signed 23-year-old Senegalese international 218cm center Ibou Badji for the upcoming season. He played there last season. In 6 CBA games, he averaged 7.5ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.2apg, and 3.0bpg. He also played for Bulls in the NBA G League. The other team he played briefly for was the Hornets in the NBA. Another team he briefly played for was Swarm in the NBA G League.
Badji has been a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Senegalese senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2020.
Badji is a very experienced player, having played for teams in Spain, the NBA, NBA G League, and NBA Summer League. He won the NBA G League championship title in 2026.
Among many awards, he was voted to Afrobasket.com All-FIBA AfroBasket Honorable Mention back in 2021.
