Regency Petroleum Reports Strong First Quarter, Eyes Further Growth | RJR News

Chief Executive Officer of Regency Petroleum Limited, Andrew Williams, says the company’s first quarter was its best quarter to date, with further improvement expected in the second quarter. 

Speaking on Radio Jamaica’s Real Business on Friday, Mr. Williams attributed the stronger performance in part to the recent acquisition of the Yaadman LPG business whose contribution will be reflected more fully in the second quarter results. 

He also pointed to the recently opened Spanish Town Road Service Station, which he says made a significant contribution to first quarter profits and is expected to continue doing so in the current quarter. 

Mr. Williams says construction of a new $300 million service station beside Norman Manley International Airport is expected to begin within the next four weeks. 

The project is expected to take between 16 and 18 months to complete and will include Regency’s corporate offices and a fast food outlet. 

Mr. Williams says the development will generate significant employment opportunities in nearby communities during construction. 

He says the company will soon outline plans for expanding its operations elsewhere in the Caribbean.
