AFC Leopards fill Victor Omune’s shoes with Gambian international

Ceesay also brings valuable continental experience, having featured in the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds during his time at Real de Banjul.

Ingwe will be hoping that experience proves vital as they pursue a return to Africa’s premier club competition.

“We are happy to announce the signing of Musa Ceesay, a prolific striker from Gambian Premier League side Falcons FC.

He has also featured for Gambian side Real de Banjul FC in the CAF Champions League qualifiers,” the club said in a statement.

The 24-year-old joins Ingwe after an impressive spell with Falcons, where he established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the Gambia Football Federation First Division.

He netted 11 league goals during the 2024-2025 campaign to finish among the division’s leading scorers before carrying that form into the 2025-2026 season.

Ceesay has made four appearances for the Scorpions, all coming during the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying campaign.

He featured in both legs against Gabon as The Gambia advanced on penalties before playing in the two-legged playoff against Algeria.

Although he is yet to score for the senior national team, the striker has continued to enhance his reputation as one of Gambia’s promising attacking talents.

Ceesay becomes AFC Leopards’ latest signing of the current transfer window following the arrivals of: Issa Emuria, Erick Balecho, Sebastian Wekesa, Tom Ikara, Kevin Otiala, Robinson Musungu, and Ugandan midfielder Taddeo Lwanga.
