Authorities have closed a cattle farm in Tajoura after veterinary inspections confirmed an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease affecting 15 cows.
The inspection, carried out by the Tajoura–Qarabulli Agricultural Police in coordination with veterinary officials and the Municipal Guard, also found that two cows and one calf had died from the disease.
The farm owner was ordered not to sell or transport cattle or distribute milk from the farm. Authorities also closed the facility and instructed the owner to follow guidance issued by the relevant animal health authorities.
