Levallois Metropolitans BC (NM1) re-signed 28-year old American (who also holds a Cameroonian passport) 193cm guard Charles Minlend Jr. (college: Louisville) for the upcoming season. He played there last season. In 13 NM1 games, he averaged 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.2spg. During the previous (2024-25) season, he played at Amics Castello (Primera FEB) in the Spanish league.
He also represented Cameroon at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.8 points per game and had 3.7 rebounds per game.
Minlend has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in Colombia, Spain, and Cameroon. He has played for Cimarrones in Colombia, Huelva Comercio LRI21 Viridis and Zornotza in Spain, and Forces Armees et Police Basketball de Yaounde in Cameroon. His career has taken him to four different continents – Europe, Latin America, Africa, and North America.
Among many awards, he won the Cameroonian League championship title in 2022. Minlend was voted to the WCC All-Freshman Team during his college time in 2017.
He graduated from the University of Louisville in 2021, and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. Minlend played for the University of San Francisco for 4 years.
