French Institute in Egypt Opens Applications for 2027 Paris Residency

Egyptian artists can apply for a three-month residency at Cité internationale des arts until August 25th.

Applications have opened for the 2027 artist residency programme at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, offering Egyptian artists and artists living and working in Egypt the opportunity to undertake a three-month residency in the city’s Marais district.

According to the French Institute in Egypt, the programme is supported by the Institut français, the French Institute in Egypt and the Cité internationale des arts. Applications are open across eligible artistic disciplines, with the submission deadline set for August 25th, 2026.

Residencies will take place between April 2027 and April 2028. Selected participants will receive international travel, studio accommodation at the Cité internationale des arts and a residency allowance for the duration of their stay.

The French Institute in Egypt has directed prospective applicants to review the programme’s eligibility requirements and application guidelines through the official application portal before the closing date.
