Foreign firms expand operations as Libya cites improved business climate

The Ministry of Economy and Trade said it had approved 104 decisions allowing foreign companies to open or extend operations in Libya during the first half of the year.

The ministry said the figures indicate rising investor confidence and continued improvement in the business environment.

Construction accounted for the largest share of activity at 38%, followed by oil at 34%, while Turkey topped the list of countries, ahead of Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and China.
