Ex-Gambian envoy pays tribute to leadership of Father Amir

The former ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia to the State of Qatar, Foday Malang, in a condolence message to Qatar Tribune, expressed profound sorrow over the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Malang, who served until recently in Qatar, presently stationed in Rabat, Morocco, in his message stated that he, together with his family, joins the leadership and people of the State of Qatar in mourning the loss of the late Father Amir, whose visionary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication played a transformative role in the remarkable development and progress of Qatar.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the esteemed Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar during the period of national mourning.

He prayed that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, may forgive the late Father Amir’s shortcomings, grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus, and bless him with eternal peace.

Malang further paid tribute to the enduring legacy of the late Father Amir, noting that his exemplary leadership and far-reaching vision will continue to inspire generations to come.

He concluded by praying that Almighty Allah grants the late Father Amir eternal rest and bestows strength, patience, and comfort upon his family and the people of Qatar as they mourn this great loss.
