Tebboune Calls for Swift Action on Niger, Chad Agreements

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has called for the swift implementation of cooperation agreements signed with Niger and Chad, stressing Algeria’s commitment to turning partnerships into tangible development projects.

Speaking during Sunday’s Council of Ministers meeting, the president highlighted the urgent rollout of key initiatives, particularly in electricity production, to improve living conditions for citizens in both countries. He also tasked the Minister of Foreign Affairs with overseeing a sectoral committee to monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered on time.

The move reflects Algeria’s broader strategy of strengthening African economic integration through concrete investments, building on its expertise in strategic sectors such as energy and industry while deepening mutually beneficial partnerships across the region.
