Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has signed the controversial Constitutional Amendment (No. 3) Act into law, officially extending his time in office by two years to 2030 and abolishing direct presidential elections. The government notice of presidential assent was officially gazetted on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
