US Firm Convalt to Build $6.2 Billion Lesotho Hydro Project, Data Center

Convalt Energy, a US-based company, agreed to spend $6.2 billion to build a 1,200-megawatt hydro-power project and an artificial intelligence data center in Lesotho.

The southern African nation’s biggest foreign investment will help reduce the kingdom’s reliance on energy imports and create jobs, government spokesman Boitelo Rabele said in a statement.
