Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat met on Tuesday with representatives of Greece’s Hellenic Company to review ongoing co-operation in the defence industries sector and explore opportunities for expanding collaboration in the coming period.
Discussions during the meeting focused on the progress of several joint co-operation projects. The two sides probed prospects for collaboration in the development and manufacture of defence industries.
Gomblat affirmed that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive strategy based on localising advanced industrial technologies. He noted that the ministry is keen to closely monitor ongoing co-operation projects with partners from friendly countries to maximise the benefits of technical expertise exchange and technology transfer.
The minister stressed that building strategic partnerships with specialised international companies remains a key pillar of the ministry’s efforts to support national defence industries, enhance local production capacities and contribute to Egypt’s broader industrial development goals.
For their part, representatives of Hellenic, which specialises in the design, development and manufacture of advanced military and security electronic systems and software, praised the progress achieved by Egypt’s military production companies in manufacturing and technological capabilities.
They expressed their commitment to maintaining and expanding co-operation with the Ministry of Military Production in ways that serve the mutual interests of both sides and support efforts to advance high-tech manufacturing.
