Kaizer Chiefs have congratulated Dillon Sheppard for obtaining his CAF license while also confirming him as a second assistant to new coach Fernando Da Cruz.
Amakhosi announced the appointment of Da Cruz last week, confirming that the new coach will start his duties on July 1. Mahmoud Abbas will serve as his first assistant, with Sheppard coming in as a second assistant after his stint with Amakhosi DStv Diski Challenge side.

This is not the first time Sheppard will be working as an assistant coach in the first team. He previously assisted Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane.
In a statement, Amakhosi said: “Coach Sheppard will officially take on the role of second assistant coach, working alongside Coach Fernando da Cruz and Assistant Coach Mahmoud Abbas, while continuing to serve as the vital link between the reserve side, where he collaborates with Coach Vela Khumalo, and the senior team. Sheppard did similar work with the previous technical team, helping Amakhosi to finish third in the Betway Premiership last season.”
Sheppard reflected on his achievement of obtaining his CAF A license, expressing his gratitude behind Amakhosi for standing by him.

“I’m proud to have achieved this. The journey started some time ago and came with challenges along the way, but I’m glad I’ve reached the goal. I’m grateful to the club for standing by me throughout the process, and I’ll work hard to share the knowledge I have acquired with our players and other coaches within the club.”
