Maritime rescue reports three drownings on Libyan coast

The Maritime Rescue in the Eastern Region has announced that the main operations room of the Rescue Department for the Libyan coast recorded three drowning incidents, according to the daily report issued on Friday. 

Hatem Balhaj, spokesperson for the Eastern Region Maritime Rescue, told the Libyan News Agency that two people from the Ras al-Hilal area are still missing. He noted that maritime rescue teams are continuing their search and rescue operations along the coast.

He added that the third missing person is a citizen from the city of Ajdabiya, without providing further details about the circumstances of the incident. 

He urged beachgoers to avoid swimming in dangerous areas or during adverse weather conditions to ensure their safety.
