Lilepo Staying At Chiefs, For Now?

Despite reports that several clubs are interested in Kaizer Chiefs winger Glody Makabi Lilepo, the Siya crew have been informed on the latest surrounding the Congolese winger.

The Siya crew previously reported that Libyan giants Al-Ittihad were among the teams showing interest in the 28-year-old.

An insider close to the club has revealed to Soccer Laduma that the Congolese winger will still be at the club next season and shut down rumours linking the player with a departure.

“That’s useless. Lilepo is here. Lilepo is around. There is nothing like that. He is not going anywhere,” the insider revealed.

The 28-year-old former Valenciennes SC winger joined Amakhosi last year and ,in his first season, proved to be one of the best signings under then coach Nasereddine Nabi.

This past season,  Lilepo featured in 27 Betway Premiership encounters for the Soweto giants and scored nine goals while providing four assists along the way.

In his career, he has also played for Mbabane Swallows in Eswatini,  Renaissance, Vita Club and Al-Hilal Club.
