Days after suffering a post-match penalty shootout loss against Zambia, Starlets responded with an emphatic 6-0 win over Lesotho to finish third in the Four Nations Tournament in Zambia.
A brace from Eglay Mukhwana, as well as goals from Violet Nanjala, Tereza Engesha, Fasila Adhiambo and Catherine Khaemba were all that Starlets needed to complete the demolition of Lesotho.
Speaking after the match, Adam, who was also named the Player of the Tournament, disclosed why they had to win.
“We really needed to win that match, and we did so by many goals. We faced some criticism for not scoring enough in our last match and had to respond,” said Adam.
The Danish-based midfielder was also pleased with the lessons learned, the amends made, and the improvement being made by the team.
