Samsung is building the processors for the Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has reportedly chosen Samsung to manufacture the core chips for its upcoming Switch 2 console, including a custom-designed 8-nanometer processor from NVIDIA, according to a Bloomberg report. This strategic move would represent a departure from TSMC, which supplied the chipset for the original 2017 Switch. While Nintendo maintained its usual stance of not disclosing suppliers, and Samsung and NVIDIA declined to comment, the report suggests a significant win for Samsung’s contract chip manufacturing division.

Samsung has a pre-existing relationship with Nintendo, having previously provided flash memory and displays.
