Kaizer Chiefs to let R5 million signing leave for ‘mahala’!

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reportedly taken a major decision over the future of a struggling attacker.

Nabi’s maiden season in charge of the Glamour Boys has been filled with turbulence.

Chiefs are on the brink of finishing outside of the league’s top eight once again.

Nabi however can rescue his side’s season by lifting the Nedbank Cup this weekend, at the expense of rivals Orlando Pirates!

According to the latest transfer gossip, Kaizer Chiefs have decided to release Ranga Chivaviro at the end of the season.

The powerful attacker joined the club from Marumo Gallants in a deal worth over a reported R5 million at the time.

Chivaviro however struggled to make his mark at Kaizer Chiefs. The 32-year-old striker scored just nine goals in 45 appearances.

Now, reports suggest the club have agreed to offload him next month.

“There is a list of players who are believed to be leaving the club at the end of the season and apparently Ranga Chivaviro is one of them,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“You remember before the arrival of (Makabi) Lilepo they also wanted to extend Ranga’s contract but it seems now that won’t be happening. He is set to leave the club. It’s believed to be the end of the road for him at Chiefs.”
