fumbled the ball in the act of scoring a try but kicked four conversions as Suntory Sungoliath won 45-28 at Verblitz. Adre Smith packed down at lock for the hosts.

Canon Eagles duo Jesse Kriel and Jannes Labuschagne went down 38-28 at Shizuoka Blue Revs, Kwagga Smith played off the bench for the hosts.

Walt Steenkamp and Khutha Mchunu powered the Mitsubishi scrum in a 59-33 reverse at Kobe.

Malcom Marx scored two tries for Kubota Spears in a 39-20 win against a Honda Heat team powered by Franco Mostert, Janko Swanepoel, Matthys Basson and Dawid Kellerman.
