‘Ridiculous situation’ – Trump goes after US Supreme Court over deportations ruling

US President Donald Trump has criticized the Supreme Court for halting deportations of Venezuelans under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act.

Trump labelled the ruling as a “ridiculous situation” and accused the judiciary of being intimidated by the radical left.

The court’s decision temporarily paused deportations of Venezuelans detained in northern Texas under this centuries-old wartime legislation.

Reacting to the development, Trump in a post on his Truth Social media on Monday night, said: “I’m doing what I was elected to do, remove criminals from our Country, but the Courts don’t seem to want me to do that.

“My team is fantastic, doing an incredible job. However, they are being stymied at every turn by even the US Supreme Court, which I have such great respect for, but which seemingly doesn’t want me to send violent criminals and terrorists back to Venezuela, or any other Country, for that matter.

“People that came here illegally! The Courts are intimidated by the Radical Left who are, “playing the Ref.”

“We would need hundreds of thousands of trials for the hundreds of thousands of Illegals we are sending out of the Country.

“Such a thing is not possible to do. What a ridiculous situation we are in.”

This is coming less than a week after Trump launched a scathing attack on the American judiciary after a federal judge blocked his administration’s plan to cancel legal protections for 530,000 migrants from four countries – Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Haiti.
