Guinea star Serhou Guirassy has expressed frustration and annoyance after his Borussia Dortmund side finished second in the Bundesliga behind a dominant Bayern Munich.

The Black and Yellows ended the season in second place with 73 points, 16 behind Vincent Kompany’s side, who lost just one game on their way to being crowned Bundesliga champions.

The Guinean attacker proved prolific for his side, finishing third in the top scorers’ charts with 17 goals in 33 appearances. He ended the campaign behind Deniz Undav, who scored 19, while Harry Kane led the way with a whopping 36 goals in 31 matches.

When asked whether he was pleased with his return, the 30-year-old admitted that while he was satisfied with the numbers, he still wants more.

“They are good numbers for a striker, of course, but I always aim higher,” he said, per the Bundesliga’s official website.

“They are very good statistics, but for me it’s still not enough. If you ask someone else and they hear 16 goals, they would probably be very happy. But for me, I want more. It’s not enough.”

The striker went on to express frustration at finishing second, although he admitted Bayern had simply been on another level this season.

“Second place is frustrating and annoying. Bayern Munich were really, really good this year, though.

“You can see it in the UEFA Champions League too, even though they lost against Paris Saint-Germain. Right now, I think they are one of the two best teams in Europe.

“To become champions, you have to win games against Bayern because even they can drop points, although it’s difficult against them. Second place is not enough for us though, because when you play for Dortmund, you want to win titles.”
