The Palestinian death toll continues to climb as Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue for the hundredth day.
The conflict arose last year in response the cross border attack by Palestinian militant group Hamas last October which saw at least 1200 Israeli lives claimed, and over two hundred being taken hostage.
Since then Israel has unleashed a barrage of retaliatory attacks on the Gaza strip.
According to the Hamas-run health ministry, the number of Palestinian casualties is approaching twenty-four thousand deaths.
Israel recently appeared before the International Court of Justice, ICJ, having been accused by South Africa of committing genocide in breach of the 1948 Genocide Convention.
The tension between Israel and Gaza has also resulted in increased aggression throughout the Middle Eastern region.
Today a missile reportedly launched from Lebanon killed a woman and her son in a village in Northern Israel, just hours after the Israeli military said it killed four heavily armed militants trying to enter from Lebanon.
Elsewhere, the United States continues to carry out strikes targetting the Yemeni militant group, the Houthis, who have been attacking ships traversing the Red Sea in what they say is a show of support for Palestinians.
US President Joe Biden says he has sent a private message to Iran which allegedly supports the Houthis. He also says the US will continue responding to the Houthis if they “continue [their] outrageous behaviour”.
