In an audacious move, a man listed as wanted by law enforcement for Shooting with Intent, has posted a video on social media criticising the police for including him in its weekly Wanted Wednesday series.
The man, Dujon Wright, also known as ‘Black Man’, called out the Jamaica Constabulary Force and proceeds to explain why he has not turned himself in.
More in this report from Robian Williams.
Just over a week ago the JCF’s popular Wanted Wednesday feature included the image of Dujon ‘Black Man’ Wright.
Wright’s image was accompanied by the caption, ‘Black Friday Deal, do the right thing. Report wanted men to Crime Stop Jamaica and earn between 2-hundred-and-fifty-thousand dollars to one-million dollars’.
The JCF boosted the post with this song.
But Wright has taken exception to being designated a Wanted Man by the police.
In a video posted to social media, he declared why he has not turned himself in.
Wright says the police are shaping a narrative to make it seem as if he’s a ‘badman’.
He says the shooting incident happened more than six years ago.
Wright, who claims he’s an ex soldier, is advising the Police Commissioner to focus on catching criminal elements in the Constabulary Force.
The JCF quickly re-posted Wright’s video on social media with the caption:”Black Man, you are wanted for Shooting with Intent. Please find a blue and white building and let us talk.”
