Cameroon is confronting a multi-faceted humanitarian and protection crisis caused by conflict, inter-communal violence, and the effects of climate change. Over two million people have fled their homes in search of safety and security in Cameroon, including nearly half a million refugees. UNHCR works to protect and assist forcibly displaced throughout the country, ensuring access to basic services and searching for durable solutions.
Working with Partners
UNHCR works closely with wide range of partners including key Government ministries and decentralized entities, UN agencies, NGOs, civil society, private sector, the refugee community, donors and other humanitarian and development actors to respond to the most pressing needs of refugees and others displaced persons across the country.
