South Africa recorded the first win of the Super-8 round of the ICC T20 World Cup beating USA by 18-runs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, today.
Batting first, South Africa posted 194 for 4 off their 20 overs.
Opener and wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock led the scoring with 74 from 40-balls.
Captain Aiden Markram made 46, Heinrich Klaasen was unbeaten on 36 with Tristan Stubbs 20 not out.
Saurabh Netravalkar and Harmeet Singh picked up two wicket each.
In reply, USA made 176 for 6 off 20 overs.
Andries Gous top scored with an unbeaten 80 from 47 balls.
Singh made 38 and Steven Taylor 24.
Kagiso Rabada finished with figures of 3 for 18.
Meanwhile, Emerging Ireland batting a second time with a first innings lead of 134-runs reached 65 for 2 at stumps on day-2 of their 4-day match against the West Indies Academy at the Green, Comber.
Captain Stephen Doheny 28 and Chris de Freitas 23 are the not out batsmen.
Earlier, the West Indies Academy were bowled out for 214.
Kadeem Alleyne made 47, Jordan Johnson 33, Joshua Bishop 28 and Nyeem Young 48 not out.
Tom Mayes took 4 for 61 and Liam McCarthy bagged three wickets for Ireland.
