Mayor of Mandeville, Donovan Mitchell, is urging anyone with information that can aid the police in their investigation of Friday’s shooting at the Mandeville Market to come forward.
Gunmen opened fire at vendors at the back entrance to the market at about 10:15 am.
The incident left a man and a woman shot dead and at least four others injured.
The latest murders have pushed the number of people killed in Manchester to 40 since the start of the year.
Mayor Mitchell says the Manchester Municipal Corporation stands ready to assist the grieving families.

Meanwhile, Opposition Spokesperson on Citizen Security, Peter Bunting, is condemning Friday morning’s shooting at the Mandeville market that left two people dead and several others injured.
In a statement on Friday, Mr. Bunting says the shooting highlights the ongoing threat of violent crime plaguing communities across the country.
The opposition Spokesman says the incidents of violent crime in Manchester have been increasing in recent months.
Senator Bunting called on the Ministry of National Security and the High Command to increase the personnel and other resources assigned to the division before the parish loses its image as one of the most peaceful in the island.

He’s expressing condolences to the families of the man and woman who lost their lives.
Mr. Bunting is also wishing a swift recovery to those injured in this horrific incident.
In the meantime, Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie, has condemned the shooting at the Mandeville Market.
In a statement Friday afternoon, Minister McKenzie strongly denounced the incident, saying there is no justification for this disgraceful and savage act.
He has also expressed condolences to the families of the persons who were killed, and wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
The minister has urged the Manchester Police to do everything possible, as quickly as possible, to arrest the perpetrators and place them before the courts.
Minister McKenzie also sought to assure vendors, shoppers, and commuters of the market that measures will be implemented to ensure their safety and peace of mind.
