Parliamentarians on both sides of the aisle are calling on the Integrity Commission to explain itself regarding the prosecution of former Member of Parliament, Dwayne Vaz.
Mr. Vaz pleaded guilty to failing to pay a fine of $250,000. He was ordered to pay the fine after failing to provide information to the IC in relation to a company for which he was listed as a director.
The information should have been included in the statutory declarations filing for 2019.
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck and Opposition Spokesman on Finance Julian Robinson both called for clarity on the issue.
