Lawyers are raising alarm over the appalling conditions of courts islandwide, highlighting deterioration of facilities.
From failing infrastructure to the lack of basic amenities like bathrooms and parking spaces, the situation is becoming unbearable for legal professionals and the public alike.
Calls for urgent intervention have increased, as many argue that these conditions are hindering the administration of justice and eroding the dignity of the court system.

Earlier this week, court clerks at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court staged a two-day sick-out to protest poor working conditions.
Among their concerns is poor air quality, which had forced them out of their original office in 2023.
The clerks say these conditions have impacted operations at the court.
Leading the call for improvements to the courts across the country is King’s Counsel Valerie Neita Robertson.
She recently highlighting the need for improvements to ensure a more efficient justice system.
Deputy chairman of the Criminal Bar Committee of the Jamaica Bar Association, Sayeed Bernard, has also weighed in.
He noted that court buildings are in urgent need of infrastructure development.
Bernard further detailed the long list of issues plaguing the courts across the country.
And Attorney Shamar Hanson further highlights ongoing maintenance issues and parking challenges that must be addressed.
