You win some, you lose some.
One day after the Knicks benefitted from a controversial non-call in a close win over the Pistons, Josh Hart was bloodied after taking a hand and forearm to the face from Pelicans star Zion Williamson with no foul being called.
Hart drove to the basket and attempted a layup 5:05 into Wednesday night’s game against New Orleans, and as Williamson tried to swat the ball away, he clipped the Knicks shooting guard in the face.
Though Hart’s nose was bloodied, no foul was awarded and the 28-year-old appeared to be incensed with the officials’ non-call.
It came less than 24 hours after Donte DiVincenzo’s “tackle” helped the Knicks beat the lowly Pistons.
“Where’s the New York media now,” Detroit head coach Monty Williams sarcastically said as he sat down to speak with reporters. “The absolutely worst call of the season. No call and enough is enough. We’ve done it the right way. We’ve called the league. We’ve sent in clips. We’re sick of hearing the same stuff over and over again.
