The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is expected to widen its ongoing Jamaica Export and Investment Business Mission reach into non-traditional markets this year.
Last year, Industry Minister Senator Aubyn Hill led a delegation on a mission to the Caribbean and traditional markets such as the United States, Canada, and London.
President of JAMPRO, Shullette Cox, gave details of this year’s mission while addressing the Plenary Session of the 10th Biennial Diaspora Conference on Monday.
The three-day conference, which started on Monday, is currently being held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St. James.
The topic for the Plenary Session was “Jamaica Open for Business: Transforming Investment and Enterprise in Jamaica through Diaspora Engagement.”
Cox added that members of the Diaspora are welcome to participate in this year’s mission.
