A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Craig Town in the Kingston Western Police Division.
The measure took effect at 6 pm on Sunday and will remain in force until 6 pm on Tuesday, July 30.
The borders of the curfew include Beresford and Benbow Street, Slipe Pen Road, Gordon Road, Pouyatt Street, Brynes Street and Penn Street.
Divisional commander, Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps, says the security measure is in response to a double murder in the community on Sunday.
He says it is the latest in a series of incidents caused by rivalry between two gangs.

Meanwhile, the Kingston Western police have named 14 men as persons of interest.
The men are being asked to report to the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch no later than midday on Tuesday.
They are:
- Roger Allen, who is wanted for murder;
- Ted Berry o/c “Bads” o/c “King King”
- Ricardo Manning o/c “Rudy”
- Rusheed Lyons o/c “Guess”
- Rojae Lewis “Piglet”
- Kadian Thompson o/c “Enuh”
- Sajae Lewis “Lu-lu”
- Andy Anderson, and
- Garfield Bolt.
Also named are men known only by their aliases:
- “Pem Pem”
- “JJ”
- “Chris”
- “Bobo” and
- “Spangi”
The police is asking anyone with information about these men to call Police Emergency at 119, Crime Stop at 311, the Denham Town CIB at 876-948-6443, Senior Superintendent of Police Michael Phipps at 876-285-1964, or the nearest police station.
