The police in St. Elizabeth say they seized two firearms and 61 rounds of ammunition in three different incidents over the previous five days.
In the first incident on Friday August 9, lawmen seized 43 twelve gauge cartridges in an operation in Rich Pen District.
They also seized two five-gallon buckets containing marijuana seeds and five pounds of vegetable matter resembling marijuana.
One man, 43 year-old Dussard Livingston Nation, a farmer of Rich Pen, Mountainside in St. Elizabeth.
The second incident happened about 10pm on Sunday, August 11 where police responded to a case of robbery in the Fullerswood community.
It’s reported that two men held up and robbed persons at a bar in the community.
The men were later tackled by a police team and during a confrontation, one escaped but the other was shot and injured.
The injured man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
One Smith and Wesson Springfield pistol was recovered with one round of ammunition.
The police also recovered a motor bike that had been stolen in an earlier incident.
In the latest incident, on Tuesday August 13 at a 11pm, police carried out an operation in the Middlesex Community where an unoccupied premises was searched.
A black knapsack was found and was searched.
One black 9-millimetre pistol containing one magazine and 17 rounds of ammunition.
No one has been arrested in connection with that incident.
