Municipal Corporations across the country are in a heightened state of preparation for the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Beryl.
The powerful tropical cyclone is expected to begin affecting Jamaica sometime on Wednesday.
When Nationwide News caught up with the Mayors of Montego Bay, Port Maria, Mandeville, and Savanna La Mar, they were busy mobilising for Beryl.

As Beryl charts a course towards the central Caribbean, Mayors across Jamaica are leaving nothing to chance.
The chairmen of at least four Municipal Corporations say their immediate focus is on drain cleaning and ensuring shelters across their respective parishes are ready should the worst occur.
Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon, says critical supplies are now being moved to shelters across St. James.
Hurricane Beryl is forecast to affect Jamaica as either a dangerous category 2 or 3 hurricane on Wednesday. The system is expected to dump heavy rainfall on the island.
Wind speeds of up to 110 miles per hour are expected to batter Jamaica.
In Manchester, Mayor Donovan Mitchell of Mandeville says 90% of shelters across the parish are now ready for activation.
He says the focus is also being placed on preparing the parish infirmaries.
Mayor of Port Maria, Fitzroy Wilson, says drain cleaning is on in earnest across St. Mary.
Out West, the Mayor of Savanna La Mar, Danree Delancy, is appealing to the Ministry of Local Government to expedite the release of funds to the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation to facilitate last-minute drain cleaning.
Mayor Delancy is also reporting that shelters across Westmoreland are ready, should it become necessary to activate them.
Meanwhile, the mayors are urging residents across their respective parishes to heed the warnings related to hurricane Beryl.
The men say the system is not to be taken lightly.
