The Integrity Commission has submitted its Annual Report for the Financial Year 2023/2024 to Gordon House.
That’s according to a statement from the Commission on Wednesday.
It’s not certain when the report will be tabled in the Houses of Parliament.
The report, which is the Commission’s 6th Annual Report, was formally received and signed for at Parliament at 2:39 PM.
Section 36 of the Integrity Commission Act requires the Commission to submit its annual reports to Parliament not later than three months after the end of each financial year.
This means that the Commission’s annual reports must be submitted by the end of June each year.
The Commission says it has maintained its enviable record of preparing its annual reports and submitting them to Parliament in only three months.
It has also submitted that the Commission’s financial affairs be audited within the same time frame.
Hard copies of the report were submitted to Speaker of the House of Representatives Juliet Holness, Senate President, Tom Tavares-Finson, and Clerk to the Houses of Parliament, Colleen Lowe.
The last annual report from the Integrity Commission triggered a firestorm.
It noted that six parliamentarians and 28 public officials were under investigation for illicit enrichment.
