The Leadership Team of St. James the Apostle, Anglican Church in Wallaceburg, recently presented Mary Pat Elliott of Active Christians with a Mission with a cheque for $1,150
The proceeds were raised at the Lessons and Carols Christmas Fundraiser held on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
“This money will go to the Cazale Medical Clinic in Haiti, which cares for those in need in this mountain region community,” church officials said, adding that ACWAM is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency and has been engaged in mission work in Haiti since the mid-1990s.
“The congregation of St. James would like to thank all who attended this service and for the care and generosity expressed to those in need during this season of Advent, as we anticipate the birth of Jesus in the City of David and his coming again. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who made this event possible, especially the Wallaceburg Ministerial Associations members who took part in the service as readers and intercessors, and The Blue Water Vocal Ensemble led by Dennis Myers, which augmented our St. James Choir under the direction of David Lee.”
