Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be open to letting go of one of their foreign midfielders, with new faces expected to arrive at Chloorkop before the start of the 2026/27 campaign.

Sundowns are believed to have completed a deal for former Stellenbosch FC midfielder Antonio van Wyk to join the club in the upcoming season, after a spell in Austria, and more signings will be made to bolster the squad.

This means there will be exits, and Soccer Laduma has been led to believe that Sundowns are open to letting Portuguese midfielder Miguel Reisinho go after he struggled to break into the starting line-up regularly.

Reisinho joined the African champions as a free agent at the start of the 2025/26 season, at the same time as Nuno Santos, who enjoyed more game time than he did.

The left-footed midfielder penned a two-year deal with Sundowns, with an option to extend for a further year, but Soccer Laduma has been led to believe that he may not see it through, considering he has not been able to feature much.

In the 50 matches Sundowns played in all competitions during the past season, the 27-year-old made just 14 appearances.

Sundowns, meanwhile, are not expected to welcome back most of the players who are currently out on loan.

With a big squad already, Sundowns look set to give the likes of Asekho Tiwani, Terrence Mashego, Neo Maema, Kobamelo Kodisang, Aphelele Teto, Jody Ah Shene and Ricardo Goss an opportunity to play elsewhere.
